The short version
If you cancel at least 7 days before your booking, you get a full refund of the deposit. After that, the deposit is non-refundable, but we'll always try to find a way to make it work — see below.
If weather stops the day from happening, we either reschedule for free or refund you in full. You don't pay for what you didn't get.
1. Booking & deposit
To confirm a booking we ask for a 30% deposit. The balance is paid on the day of the charter, directly to the captain (cash, card or bank transfer agreed in advance). The deposit secures the boat and the date.

If you need to cancel, write to info@bellacoastcharter.com or message us on WhatsApp as soon as possible. The refund of the deposit follows this schedule:
3. Rescheduling instead of cancelling
If your plans change but you still want the day, we'll try to move your booking to another available date — at no extra cost — as long as the new date falls within 24 months of the original. This applies even if you're inside the no-refund window.
Rescheduling is subject to boat and captain availability on the new date. If the boat you originally booked isn't available, we'll offer an equivalent alternative from the rotation.
4. Cancellation by us — weather and safety
The Bay of Naples is generally calm in summer, but the sea decides. If on the day of the charter the captain — at his sole discretion — judges that the weather makes the day unsafe, unpleasant or significantly different from what you booked, we will:
- Reschedule to another day during your stay, at no extra cost; or
- Offer a shortened or modified itinerary with a partial refund proportional to the lost time; or
- Issue a full refund of the deposit if no alternative works.
The captain's call on weather is final and is made in your interest. We don't go out in bad sea, even if you'd like us to.
5. Late arrival & no-show
The day starts at the agreed pick-up time. If you arrive significantly late (more than 30 minutes without notice), the day still ends at the agreed time and the price is unchanged.
If you don't show up at all without prior notice, the deposit is forfeited and the balance is not due.
6. Refund processing
Refunds are processed within 10 business days of confirmation, by the same payment method used for the deposit. Bank transfer charges, if any, are at our expense.
7. Force majeure
If the day is prevented by events beyond reasonable control of either party (port closures, strikes, declared health emergencies, port authority orders), we will reschedule or refund the deposit at our discretion, in good faith. Travel insurance is recommended for indirect costs (flights, hotels) which we cannot cover.
